The Suffolk Punch
The Suffolk Punch horse is the oldest breed of heavy horse in Great Britain. The breed dates from the sixteenth century but all animals alive today trace their male lines back to one stallion, a horse called Crisp’s Horse of Ufford in Suffolk, England, who was foaled in 1768.
Warwick Park Sufffolk Punch Stud
Established in 2008 and located close to the city of Melbourne, Australia, the Stud aims to build the numbers and popularity of this beautiful, gentle and powerful working horse.
The Stud breeds Suffolks, as well as working them as a traditional draught horse and showing them at agricultural and horse shows. The horses area available to attend school shows, fetes, etc. as we want to encourage children to experience the magic of heavy horses.
